Makes sense. I mean Aquatic is an ecosystem, and you're talking about the SCALE paths. The SCALE paths are how you grow, which seems like you've identified, but the Ecosystems is how you operate.
Depending on how your SCALE path interacts with your ecosystem, you'll have different ways to utilize what you're doing.
As an aquatic Spotlighter, your signature talks will likely be new modalities that you came up with that don't exactly match anything that exists out there, but WORK BETTER than anything else, which is why people want to know about them.
The problems for spotlighting as an aquatic is that your stuff cuts across modalities, so they can be hard to explain to people, but once they get it THEY GET IT.
A big Aquatic thing is saying "This is so obviously the best. Why can't anyone see that?"
So, a huge part of aquatic-ship is in breaking things down into ever-simpler containers that make more sense to more people.

I don't talk. I write. I make connections, yes, and often they've never been made before. I can see patterns before I have evidence, which takes a stupidly long time to cite, especially when I have to explain how it all connects. I'm at the age now where I make the connections for fun. But I did find a job the other day that involves solitary research, where the result is that someone benefits monetarily from my research. That's good enough.
