The Frictionless Growth Challenge is a 5-day event designed to help you narrow down on your most joyous, easeful growth, and align yourself to break through your biggest blocks in just a few minutes a day with the help of a group of amazing humans on the same journey as you.
This isn’t supposed to be “homework”. It’s supposed to be joywork. We want you to dig deep on the most joyful parts of your practice, because if you enjoy something then it’s probably working for you.
Yet, because we are taught that “work should be hard”, we’re focusing on the things we don’t like…
…and those are the things that you don’t like because they aren’t working for you. After all, if they were working, it would be working.
Good news, There is something inside yourself that will allow you to grow effortlessly and joyously. Bad news, I have no idea what that is, and this is the first step on our journey to figure it out.
So, tomorrow we start the challenge. Before then, write down a time when your business felt fun and effortless. It’s okay if it’s been a while, but it should be a vivid time when you thought to yourself “OMG, this is so fun. I could do it forever.”
Today’s task: Think back to one time when working on your business felt easeful.
While you can picture anything here, try to focus on one that you grew with ease.
It might have been speaking on a podcast that led to a bunch of new subscribers, setting up a table at a local farmer’s market that led to a bunch of sales, partnering with another business on a promotion that led to exposure, optimizing an ad that scaled perfectly, or anything else you can imagine.
Make it feel real in your mind.
What were you doing?
What kind of work was it?
Who were you doing it with or for?
If you’ve never really done anything before, think about a time in your life that your met people and it felt like you were gliding through it.

The podcast I've been running with my husband for the past four years brings a lot of joy but I seriously need to learn how to monetise it! The pagan events/markets where we play (we're musicians) to trade are great fun plus I make sales with my books which helps. And usually sign-ups for my newsletter come from these events where talking to people in person is always a pleasure.
Sorry it's taken me two days to respond to this, I've been mulling it over.
It's a tough question to answer because so much in my life has changed in the last 18 months that I keep rationalizing reasons for why things from the past shouldn't matter to how I move forward.
But, if I'm honest, the two things that have and are growing with ease are my newsletter (even though growth there has stalled a little) and the Substack I started about 6 weeks ago.
It's where I get to be unapologetically myself, share the real parts of me with my readers. It's community and connection, which is where my soul thrives.
